Accessing Australian Standards

Once you have your TAFE Login, you can access the link to Australian Standards, via the library  website, at:

You can search for any current or draft Australian Standard by using the Standard number, or keywords likely to appear in the title, or in the abstract ( summary).

When you have located the standard you require, you will have the option to open and print it in full, or to save to USB.

  • You are able to print out ONE  FULL COPY of any Australian Standard you require for educational purposes of your TAFE course.
  • Any standards saved to USB are encrypted and will only be accessible for 5 days.

For more information, please access the Standards Guide, or direct any questions to your Campus Librarian.

Searching Standards Online

Once you have logged into Standards Online you are able to search by the following means:

Standard number - if you know the number you can search directly in the quick search screen

Keyword/ subject- you can go to Power Search and put NON-DESTRUCTIVE  in the first line ( a good search is to choose to search Keyword in abstract- ie you would like your terms to be found in the short summary of the standards.

Subject index- on the LHS of main screen select Subject Search. From the list that appears, choose TESTING   and then when the list of options comes up, now select NON-DESTRUCTIVE testing. You will be taken to a list of about ten standards, all on NDT.
