When doing research for assignments, it's always good to check the library catalogue first. There are several books with a chapter or two about the Aged Care industry in Australia, changes to the industry and changes to legislation; which may be useful.

Because this is a question about current social changes, searching the internet and library magazine and newspaper databases for current information would be the best option.

I did a Google search on "social changes aged care" - you could try some other similar searches.

I found several reports on current aged care reforms called Living Longer, Living Better. I've added a couple of links:

Journal/magazine databases are found at the eResources tab on the library website.

Using EBSCO databases, I located the following article, which may include relevant information:
Dow, B 2013, 'What do older Australians want?', Australasian Journal On Ageing, 32, 4, pp. 236-240, Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre, EBSCOhost, viewed 30 March 2014.

You may also find useful information in the Joanna Briggs database, and Australia and New Zealand Newsstand on our website.
