How long may i borrow a textbook?

Answer

Most books are lent to students for two weeks.

Extensions on this time can be made twice. So, for example, a book can be borrowed for 6 weeks in total, with renewals requested by you every two weeks.

Exceptions 

  • If another library patron has placed a 'hold' on the same title, the book cannot be renewed.
  • If the book is overdue
  • Some textbooks are supplied by your teaching section and loaned by the library as a Special Reserve item - loan periods may vary from 2 weeks to Semester. Check with your teacher or local library.
