Q

I am about to commence my first assessments and would like to know what help is available for writing assignments?

I have read up referencing and have obtained information regarding how to write an essay. However, I am still stumped and am wondering if there is anywhere I can get help? I have not studied for many years and am sure once I get an idea I will be OK.

Answer

Ask your teacher for guidelines on writing assessments.

You can also access tutoring help either in the library or online.

Adult Study Centres

Face-to face tutors are located in most Hunter TAFE Libraries - they are usually available for a couple of hours 2-3 days a week and you can just drop in anytime to ask for advice and assistance for your assignments.

Contact your local TAFE library to find out the timetable and for contact details for one of the tutors.

YourTutor

Hunter TAFE's online service is called YourTutor.

Login to your HIonline account https://online.huntertafe.edu.au/ or register for an account.

You will see an icon for YourTutor on the home page.

Online tutors are available from 3pm-12pm, Sundays to Fridays.

You can also submit a written document & have feedback on it within 24 hours using YourTutor Checkmate.
